Rodipet enterrado Burrow
Part for building a nature-like small pet burrow
To escape from predators and unpleasant weather conditions most small rodents, when living in the wild, inhabit subterranean burrows and tunnels. Our pet hamsters, gerbils and others, living in human care, are safe from those dangers, yet they still share their wild cousinsâ burrowing instinct and will often try digging tunnels in their bedding.
Unfortunately, most tunnels dug into pet bedding are rather instable and prone to collapsing, so our little friends cannot usually dig their own permanent burrows. This is where our RodipetÂŽ enterrado system comes in: You can combine the cellulose tubes as you like and create a burrow to suit your petâs needs and instincts.
The individual elements are made from unbleached cellulose and are coated with herbs, millet husks and shredded straw to make them even more interesting for small pets. They can, of course, safely be chewed, as even the glue we use to attach the coat is edible and made from potato starch.
The enterrado Burrow is the enterrado systemâs living chamber. There are two entrances to it, so your pet will always feel that there is an âemergency exitâ available when needed, making him feel entirely safe inside.
Our tip: Instead of placing the enterrado Burrow upright you can also lay it on its side with the âbottom openingâ right against the âpeepholeâ in the LaOlaÂŽ nagarium. Your pet wonât be bothered by the sloping ground as that is just the shape of a natural rodent burrow, and you will be able to look into the nest without disturbing the inhabitant.
